Network Marketing Does NOT Work ?

There is a lot of talk about how Network Marketing Does NOT Work.

Let us look into why they say this and why it's Incorrect.

Most Network Marketing people get into the business with little to no experience with the industry. Most people are NOT sales people and even more have a very small circle of influence. Unlike many other regular positions, the screening process usually comes down -

-Money (startup fees)
-Availability to work in that country

So Network Marketing (MLM) as a whole really has very little restrictions to who can start their own home business. If you have enough startup money people will go ahead and sponsor whoever.

This is the Incorrect way to building a company.

Lets see why.

Any normal business will run something like this (through Human Resources):
1) Lead (new person) can either apply in person or be found by referral systems (Monster, headhunter, or company ad)
2) The HR person will screen the applicants and only select a few to come for a 1st interview. Most cases they go through your resume and whatever recommendations you might have. The Headhunter of course sells YOU. Some companies at this point might even do a phone interview to screen more people out.
3) 1st on site interview. You try to "sell" why you are the fit for the position. You try to convince the company why they should hire you.
4) In exchange, generally your time is purchased and you are given a rate of pay. For the hours you spend at work you get paid a set amount (unless you are in sales).

Network Marketing conducted by majority:
1) You are the HR department looking at anything that moves to join your business. You are literally chasing people down. Hounding them to join.
2) You only qualify to see if they are breathing and if they have enough money to jump in.
3) The interview generally consists of "pitching" the company and why they should join you
4) If all goes well, money is exchanged and now your doing business.

To look at this and say these are the same is funny.

In each case:
Who is in the position of power?
Who is "courting" the other?
Who is screening applicants?
Who is in the "abundance" state of mind?

Let's flip that programming of network marketing now. If you were to treat your business like a real business and actually screen applicants, you would be building a team. A team that would grow and learn. Not a team that joins for 3 months and dies off.

So how do you get to that point of being in position of power?

How can you be in a position where people WANT to join you but you first need to interview them.

Compare this:

HR department has 100 resumes that day.
or
Network Marketer has 5 prospects they met that day.

Who do you think will be doing the sifting and sorting that day vs who is literally clinging to their prospects?

It all comes down to a mentality of abundance. If you have a huge line of people waiting to talk to you, do you really need or want a tire kicker to join your team? No, it's a waste of time and resources.

So the Big Ticket question is..... How do you get a line of "resumes" in front of you that want what your are selling or to join your business?

LEADS - A whole bunch of them

You need to be generating 10-50 leads per DAY to be in the mindset that people really don't need to be convinced to join your opportunity.
