Residual income is something that comes in each and every month. This isn't a one time bonus commission but a monthly income check for something you and your team did. Examples of this could be for pills, jerky, travel, mall items, drinks, and utilities. When you and your MLM downline sell a product for that month you get a part of that sale.
Now also take into consideration that you won't have a 100% attach rate. Not everyone in your team will produce what you might produce. Not all distributors are worth their salt and not all distributors are leaders. Easy guess would be that the average person only sponsors 2 people in their career. Also assume that the average distributor will only get 50% of the required sales per month (Ex: company says that a distributor needs 10 cases a month to hit bonuses. That means the average person will only do 5 if not less)
The number is: "How many people do you need in your downline to get $10,000/month?"The number you get should be something that might be obtainable in a couple years at most. Not something that is impossible. Even if it took 10 years, isn't $10,000/month residual worth it? Now this is residual income and on top of that most companies pay out a 1 time bonus commission. So if you’re banking $10,000/month in residual then I bet your monthly commission bonus has got to be sizable too. If you figure out that your company has it structured that there is no way for you to earn that regardless if its 5/10/20 yrs of work why even do it? This business is supposed to replace your day job and not become another job.
So realize that your MLM Opportunity needs to be looked at deeper than just if the product works or if it’s been around a long time. What is the point of promoting a business that will take forever to make some descent money? A good way to check company incomes is a document called an income disclosure. Regardless of the business presented, if you are looking to make serious money in the industry you need volume. Some top network marketing companies will require less to make that magical $10,000 a month but in the end you need MLM leads. Period. Does your company teach you how to drive qualified prospects to YOUR website and business? I think not. Friends and family is just a small segment that you can tap into.
